What the free plan is
A whole semester. Not a two week trial.
A term is the only unit of time that means anything in a classroom. Nobody can judge this in fourteen days, because in fourteen days you have barely set the first assignment. So your first semester on EssayGuard is free across up to five courses, with every session recorded in full and nothing that quietly degrades halfway through.
Buying for a department
Your integrity caseload is being built out of guesses.
Cases arriving at an integrity office right now tend to rest on an instructor’s impression plus a detector percentage. Both are contestable, and increasingly both are contested. The office ends up adjudicating a disagreement about a number rather than a question about a document. The Department and Campus plans exist to change what those cases are made of.
For the chair
Fewer cases that fall apart under scrutiny, and a consistent standard of evidence across sections taught by very different instructors.
For the integrity office
A document rather than an assertion. Read access scoped to the sessions attached to an open case, so nobody browses a department’s student work.

What happens when the free semester ends?
A semester is plenty of time to use everything EssayGuard does, and to put it in front of your colleagues, your department, and your institution. That is the outcome we would rather have, because when the institution takes the license you never pay out of pocket. If you have not brought them in by the end of the term, you can continue on your own with the Educator plan at $99 a year. The free semester runs once per teacher rather than once per term.
Can I upgrade in the middle of a term?
Yes, and your existing sessions come with you. Upgrading does not restart anything or lose the record of work already done.
What happens to my sessions if I stop paying?
You keep the ability to export anything still inside its retention window. We do not hold a student’s record hostage to an invoice. The refunds and cancellation page has the detail.
Is there an education discount?
Every price on this page is the education price. There is no other kind of customer.
Can we pay by purchase order?
Department and campus plans can be invoiced against a PO and aligned to your fiscal year. Reach out and we will send what your procurement office needs.
